Just got back from LA this morning. It was a crazy 100-120 miles per hour dash back to the bay area in like 4.5 hours. LA was fun, with things like:
1) Xccelerator at Knots Berry Farm Theme Park. Shoots you from 0 to 55 mph in 2 seconds. You get shot all the way up vertically and then plummet vertically downwards before negotiating a whole host of twists and turns. It was crazy.

2) One of the best damn yakiniku places I've ever gone to. The self bbq-ed Kobe beef was amazing.

3) Going to the Karaoke place(recommended by the owners of the Yakiniku place) and staying till 3:30 am.

4) Vince's parents took us out for some pretty authentic vietnamese food yesterday. Good stuff.

5) Missed clubbing since we left Knots too late but managed to hit up Anime Expo the following day. It was...uhm... an interesting experience to say the least. Will try to put up photos if possible.

What else is there to say? Oh and I've started work. First day of work was actually pretty cool and I'm excited about the stuff I will be doing in summer. I'm surprised I got assigned to work on bleeding edge stuff already on the first day. There's no training time or tutorial since the stuff is so new, we're basically figuring out stuff(reading specs, papers, docs) as we go along. Whatever my long term plans are, I'd say that the stuff I will be learning myself in summer is definitely worth it.
